G. S. Huang was born in Taipei, 1972. He received his B.S. degree in mathematics and Ph.D. degree in computer science of National Taiwan University in 1994 and 1999, respectively. Then he joined the Institute of Information Science of Academia Sinica, Dept. of Computer Science and Information Engineering of National Taiwan University, Laboratory of Research on Informatics of Universite de Paris Sud as a postdoc in 1999, 2000, 2001, respectively. After this, he became an assistant professor in Dept. of CSIE of National Chi Nan University in 2002. Dr. Huang's past research interests include finite mathematics, satisfiability problem, and design and analysis of algorithms. Currently he focuses on
computational problems related to bioinformatics.
